20 years of innovation

1986 

• Alain Bernard, Didier Dupraz and Robert Hersant founded the Société du Journal Téléphoné (Telephone Newspaper Company).
• The first services offered by the Société du Journal Téléphoné were information on horse races (GENY), the stock market, sports and general news, hence the name "The Telephoned Newspaper".

1990 

• The Société du Journal Téléphoné shortened its name to S.J.T. The heart of its targets became major accounts, in particular banks for whom it started automatic account consultation by telephone.

1997

• Following the death of Robert Hersant, the two managers bought up the company in an LBO (Leverage buy out).

1998

• The company is listed on the Nouveau Marché stock market in Paris. It took the name Prosodie.

2000

• Acquisition of 100% of METEO CONSULT in April.

2001

• Acquisition of SIAT (August), a Spanish company based in Barcelona, specializing in Voice Recognition assisted by operators.
• Acquisition of MGN (October), 4th largest player on the Internet and Intranet applications market.
• Acquisition from July to December of 4 small North American companies.

2002

• Acquisition of 100% of France-examen which joined the other content brands of Prosodie, GENYcourses and METEO CONSULT.
• The North American companies are combined to create Prosodie Interactive.

2003-2004

• Reorganization of the group into 4 operating units:

• Prosodie Connect (Prosodie Networks & Services and MGN)
• Prosodie Interactive (USA and Canada)
• Prosodie Iberica (Spain)
• Prosodie Info (GENYcourses, METEO CONSULT, France-examen)

• Acquisition of 50 % of nCryptone (February), a company specialized in acoustic signature authentification.

2006

• Creation of the Prosodie Europe division, merger of the Prosodie France and Prosodie Iberica divisions. (January).
  
  
• Acquisition of 100% nCryptone (April), specialist of authentication by acoustic signature.
  
  Sale of the nC Display card liabilities to an American company, Innovative card technologies- nCryptone becomes the first sahreholder of Incard (16%) in June.
  
  Acquisition of LA CHAINE METEO  (Lagardère group) by METEO CONSULT, to extend the range of broadcasting of weatherforecast information to TV channel (July)
  
  New offers in Spain: gift card, e-commerce, and facilities management with the acquisition the Spanish company Gesfor.
  
  
  From now on, the group is composed of 3 BtoB divisions
  - Prosodie Europe  (Prosodie France and Prosodie Iberica)
  - Prosodie Interactive (USA and Canada)
  - nCryptone (France and USA)

and of a BtoC division with 4 brands
- Prosodie Info (GENYcourses, METEO CONSULT, LA CHAINE METEO, France-examen)

2007

• The company is no more listed on the Nouveau Marché stock market in Paris
